School? What?

First week of school = over..

With every passing day, my abhorrence of my major intensifies.. maybe I should call it apathy, maybe it is self-imposed, self-fulfilling.. The more I think about it, the more I repels it.. The harder the classes get, the more distant I feel about my future as an engineer..

What is the point then?

Key moment of last week was accomplishing a long time goal, of benching 2 plates on each side.. 225 lbs BABY! I join the two plates club!!
I would write about how difficult it is, how much effort I put in.. the sweats behind the scenes.. the pride of a little asian guy benching two plates.. but none of them are true.. It just sorta happened, I guess you grow stronger as you grow older.. (to a certain age at least, then you start getting weaker.. soon enough you cannot even bench the bar).. maybe when I bench 275 (next goal) I will write about it in a more dramatic fashion =)

I watched Jackie Chan's newest movie, released two weeks ago in HK and China.. It was a great movie, Jackie Chan's best in my opinion.. It was a rare combination of action, comedy and philosophy.. It used the element of tradegy to produce touching moments, it portrayed a Jackie Chan with a soft and weak side, even the superhero sometimes can be defeated by unthinkable events.. until of course he wakes up again. I cannot remember another Jackie's film with a plot as full as this one.. and the action is good as always =)

I have been eating sporadically.. going to class regularly.. (that means regularly missing certain class too .. like the 8 AM one).. I am confused in all my classes.. all the homework due on Tuesday yet I have not started on any.. Yay me!

Looks like no Mercedes-Benz for me.. I have trouble insuring the car.. I wanted that car really bad.. I would have taken the 5000 dollars risk if I can insure it.. any ideas?

Last but not least, POKER! Haha, I won the elusive goshen champion, it was only a matter of time :) I also walked in on a homegame I could not beat. I got invited by Max to his apt for some poker, there were some really good players there.. blinds were .5/1 dollar, but in reality, it was like 3-4 dollars all night.. There was NO limping in.. the game was tough, lots of raising and reraising.. certainly one of the toughest home game I have played.. I still did not have a good read on a couple of guys there after 4 hours.. A really agressive player (Jonny) sat on my left all day.. I could not do much.. still managed to be up 12 dollars from a couple of big hands early on.. Definitely a competitive game, worth playing in again!
